DOES YOUR KITCHENAID MIXER NEED TO BE ADJUSTED?

Do the dime test. Place a dime in the bowl, attach a flat beater & turn to stir/ low speed & watch the dime. If the dime doesn't move your beater is too high. If the dime moves around continuously your beater is too low. Adjust the height by tightening or loosening the screw with a flathead screwdriver. You do not want to turn the screw no more than 90 degrees in either direction. Depending on your KitchenAid it will either be where the head meets the stand when tilted or inside of the stand. After adjusting do the dime test again to make sure the height is proper. This Make Your Life Better Hack brought to you by the Exchange
