SHBA - Construction Careers are Good Careers

CONSTRUCTION CAREERS ARE GOOD CAREERS

Construction Careers are Good Careers

It’s a common misconception that you need to get a traditional college education to earn a good wage. Trade school students begin their careers with:

• Great starting salaries up to
   $50K - $60K per year

• Minimal student debt

• High employment rates

• Stable lines of work

• A variety of trades they can specialize in

We have a great team forming in time for the 2023-2024 school year! What we really need for a great year is:

Industry Volunteers - We are putting the Skills That Build trailer to use & planning some impactful projects with schools & other community partners that provide career exposure & hands-on learning opportunities, and we need volunteers to help meet the requests from local schools.

Community Partnerships - We have many fun opportunities to pass on knowledge to the next generation of workers, but we need partners with the same passion to help maximize our impact.

Spreading the Word - Will you help us by championing the cause?!  Watch out for news on our student ambassador program, as well as our cool videos, stories & articles that you can share far and wide this fall.

Want to make an impact?

Frame Your Future (FYF) workforce development programs are part of the solution to Spokane’s skilled worker shortage and ultimately the housing crisis. But we can’t do it alone.

We need volunteers to help implement our workforce development programs for youth and adults. Do you have skills and knowledge to share?

Email us at brianb@frameyourfuture.org with the subject line “I want to volunteer!” or contact the Spokane Home Builders Association.
