With hearts full of sorrow and gratitude, we remember the beautiful life of Sydney Drew Roybal, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 24 in her beloved hometown of Spokane, Washington.

Sydney was a radiant soul—unapologetically herself, full of light, laughter, and love. She was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a bright spark in every life she touched. Her joy was infectious, her loyalty unwavering, and her spirit unforgettable.

Born and raised in Spokane, Sydney graduated from Mead High School in 2019 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with Honors from Eastern Washington University in 2022. She brought her creativity and drive to her work as a Marketing Manager at Evergreen Electric and at Roybal Chiropractic, where she left a lasting impression with her dedication and warmth.

Sydney’s passions were as vibrant as her personality. She found joy in music, soccer, puzzles, Pilates, and games. She cherished time with her family and friends, loved getting her nails done, and embraced every moment with a sense of fun and authenticity that made her truly one of a kind.

She is survived by her loving parents, April and Mike Coulter, and Brandy and Mario Roybal; her brothers, Brandon Coulter, Devin Vance Schlegel, and Bodie Coulter; her sisters, Haley Sierra Roybal and Delaney Coulter; and her grandparents, Judy Janiszewski, along with Valerie & Kevin Hallam.

Sydney joins in eternal rest her beloved relatives Shirley Anne Jorgenson, Malex Roybal, and Joseph Frank Janiszewski, Ashley Nelson.
A celebration of Sydney’s life was held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 12pm at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division Street, Spokane, WA. The family asked everyone to wear something pink for Sydney’s service.

Though her time with us was far too short, Sydney’s light will continue to shine in the memories we hold and the love she gave so freely. She was too good for this world—and now, she watches over us with that same fierce, joyful spirit.
