FASTKART HOSTS INDOOR RACING LEAGUE

SPOKANE — Fastkart Speedway in Spokane is running a karting league with the next league race Tuesday, Dec. 9
“We have a 2-hour enduro coming up Monday, Dec. 15,” spokesman Andrew Zimmer wrote in Facebook Messenger.

The best way to get involved is join the Facebook group, Spokane Indoor Karters, where all the information and dates are posted.

“Anyone and everyone is welcome to be part of the league, you just have to show up,” Zimmer said. “For the enduro they have to find a team then send in a deposit to lock in.” The most recent top race finishers from Nov. 18 are pictured.

JEANNE BARTLE IS HONORED

PORTLAND — The Washington Auto Racing Promoters Association (WARPA) Marie Easley Dedication Award was given to longtime racing enthusiast and volunteer Jeanne Bartle at the group’s yearly awards banquet in Portland, Nov. 22.

The award honors a dedication to the motorsports world or race tracks in the Northwest.
“WARPA gives it out whenever they decide someone deserves it,” Bartle wrote in Facebook Messenger. “It’s named after a woman who passed away from cancer.”

Bartle can be found working race days at Stateline Speedway.
